Membership plans

Prevention is better than cure. This is very true for dentistry.

It is our aim, through education and encouragement, to bring our young patients to adulthood without having a filling or worse, an extraction. We ensure they are brushing their teeth correctly by removing all the plaque which builds up on the teeth. They (and their parents) are taught to be aware of hidden sugars in their diet and the importance of avoiding frequent snacking and the dangers of enamel erosion by acidic drinks.

Adults are encouraged to ensure their mouths are kept clean by daily brushing, flossing, use of interdental brushes and regular visits to the hygienist. Good plaque control can prevent bad breath; tooth decay; bleeding gums; and periodontal disease, which causes more tooth loss than dental decay.

It is important to have regular dental health checks so that any changes are picked up at an early stage.

Preventative plans for adults and children

Once you are dentally fit, you will be offered a place on our monthly waiting lists to join David Vaughan Dental Care as a member. We will give you a New Patient Welcome Pack covering everything you need to know and a Practice Membership Card at your next appointment. If you need any advice in the interim period, please give us a call and our reception team will do their best to help you.

Membership is for a minimum of 12 months from the start month of the direct debit. The relevant paperwork will be completed at the surgery.
